2015: A Note of Accomplishment and Gratitude

As we race to the end of 2015, I would like to express my gratitude for a rewarding and prosperous year, both for Excell and our Members. I also want to recognize our great team and how it has grown and developed.

We have all contributed to your success this year and produced high quality ROI’s. Now is a great time to review and take stock of what, together, we created:

Members and Staff Growth
We welcomed seven new members in 2015 and also added to the Excell staff. We hired Deidre Silva, our Marketing Manager; Stacey Romero, our new Members Services Director; and Cosette Gibson-Pfaff, our new South Sound Group Leader.

Impact 2015
In its third year, Impact attracted 85 CEOs, more than half of which represented the size and impact (pun intended) of our member organizations. We received excellent feedback about the quality of our programs and presenters.

New Resources and Support
With feedback we received, we have improved our processes, including developing a new Group Leader Manual. As stewards and with an intention to continuously improve our value proposition, we will develop still more resources for our communities.

New Excell Website
We unveiled new branding with our website launch in November. Our site better serves members with new pages such as Partnerships (outside experts), Resources (recommended reads), and Members in the News (see your brands on our site!) We also coordinated an exciting new social presence on our Blog as well as on Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn. The Excell eNewsletter subscription is also new in 2015.

Member and Community Facing Activities
As a result of discussions from the Members’ Survey this past spring, we created a Members’ Manual to increase understanding and value of our Excell practices. We participated in Kitsap business communities KEDA and the Silverdale Chamber of Commerce. And we were involved with the Center for Advanced Manufacturing Puget Sound (CAMPS) in both Seattle and South Sound. If you’ve visited our new blog, you have seen pictures of our members and Excell staff volunteer in their communities.

Looking Out to 2016
We will initiate a fourth group in the North Sound, support Impact 2016, simplify our processes, and our website will expand to support our members. We will also measure our business health and especially Excell’s value to its members and their businesses.

Thank you for your Membership in 2015 and for your continued trust and business going forward into 2016. To our team a profound thanks for being in service, at such a high level, to our Members.

To all, enjoy your holidays and be well,

David Shapiro
