It is here …. our first exclusive women's CEO retreat!
Please join us for a great afternoon shared with a dynamic group of women business owners and CEOs to explore the ever present topic of change. You will obtain value from a powerful program led by Lauren Owen as well as interactions with the other members in the group. The program focuses on change management, a constant in our lives both professionally and personally. When change fails, we typically tend to place the blame on individuals. However, over 90% of the time, the failure’s root cause is around structural issues, not personal. We will focus on the Waterline Model which is a practical tool to help us diagnose and address, in a systematic way, the issues around change so that we have a lot better chance of success in the future. Come learn from other women how to better manage the change that we know will happen and can sometimes be the hardest to deal with.

Thank you for joining us at our Women's Event on Tuesday March 27th at Dulces Bistro in Seattle!
Trish provided valuable insight by sharing part of her leadership story with us on Tuesday evening. She asked powerful questions and offered principals of leadership that have served her well. By 2020, TAF will annually prepare 20,000 public-school students of color for college and STEM (science, technology, engineering and math)-related fields. This is a powerful goal and one that might seem to unrealistic knowing that currently TAF impacts 2,000 students of color annually. It is a long way from 2,000 to 20,000 per year. However after hearing Trish's focus on leadership and clarity of vision, we believe she will indeed hit this remarkable goal. Please read more about
TAF"s strategic plan to become more informed.
The following are some of her leadership principals that she shared with us:
- Put customer first (for TAF this is the kids)
- Be transparent in all your work
- Hire the right people who believe in your customers, mission and vision. If you don't trust your Directs; fire them.
- Do whatever it takes to get the right resources (products/services) to your customers at the right time
- Community involvement
Finally, we want to share some of Trish's powerful questions to continue the thoughtful enquiry she offered us on Tuesday evening:
Finally, we want to share some of Trish's powerful questions to continue the thoughtful enquiry she offered us on Tuesday evening:
When you close your eyes and think about a Leader, who's picture is the first to come to mind?
- How do we, as women, redefine the word leadership?
- What is your leadership style and how is it innovative?
- How do we transform leadership by bringing our collaborative, inclusive natures?
- Join us on April 18th at our Formation Meeting.
