Tim Johnstone will provide a best practice presentation on sales:  Selling Services – Building the Relationships that Lead to Sales

For the past 25 years, all sales methodologies have been the same.  No matter what you called them, each was a variation of a four part theme:

-       build a relationship with the decision maker.

-       identify their source of pain.

-       figure out how what you do relieves the pain.

-       close the sale.

But in today’s compressed business environment, buyers of services have no time to have coffee and build relationship, everything is painful so whatever you have is a cup of water on a forest fire, and we don’t have any money or time to implement anyway.  Go away.  But you can beat this problem.  Learn how to break down this stone wall and make sales one of your competitive advantages.  From this quarter’s meeting, you will take away practical methods and tools that you can implement immediately and have your best quarter ever.

Bio:  Tim Johnstone is President of Johnstone Advantage Consulting Group, Inc., a boutique consulting firm specializing in developing sales teams and sales managers, and strategy development and execution in service and manufacturing firms.  He is currently acting as Chief Strategy Officer for Hopelink, a large Seattle area non-profit.  Prior roles include the CEO of a specialty footwear manufacturer, SVP Division Manager of a JP Morgan Chase consumer finance unit, and as the VP Operations of a telecommunications equipment manufacturer.  Tim has a BS in Economics and an MBA in Finance.
